More communication is a better choice to judge a prospective candidate

More communication is a better choice to judge a prospective candidate & their interest level.

Recruiters are facing many challenges & unhealthy situations when they are communicating a candidate over phone. Sometime candidates behave like they are just doing favor to the recruiters and not ready to communicate much; It’s one kind of attitude where candidates are showing their busy-ness. Or they might have really busy so that they could not communicate you properly by the time you are trying to communicate.

Your introduction call & candidate not communicate you properly; Do you want to eliminate that candidate in initial screening?

Many Recruiters are losing the prospective candidate assuming that candidates are not interested after introduction call, where candidates are not responded well.
Other hand many recruiters are just process the candidate without doing proper communications which leads failure.

In this situation how to judge a candidate? Is the candidate really a prospective candidate or not?

Initial communication & introduction is very much crucial & important to judge a candidate interest level. Do not process any candidature based on single phone call; hold them till they are reverting your mail or calling you back in course of further communication.

If you are feeling candidates are not responding you properly by the time you are trying to communicate them, give them time ask for a call back or find out their suitable time to connect further, send e-mail and ask them to revert you back.

Now, you will face two situations,
One is, candidate will revert you either mail or phone if they are really looking for a change & interested to take the opportunity. – Here you will get a chance to judge a genuine candidate to proceed further.
Other hand, Candidate will not revert you back, in such case you just eliminate them; they are not a right choice.
